Windows

Offering a range of window systems from economy to high performance QAS can offer a solution for all projects. Most commonly top hung and side hung open out windows with bottom hung, tilt & turn and sliding windows being adopted where projecting windows are not appropriate i.e. school playgrounds, walkways. Windows can be manufactured to operate via multipoint locking to achieve Secure by Design (PAS24) standards, manual Teleflex gear or electric actuators which can be linked to a BMS system

Doors

Robust high usage commercial doors with multiple locking options, including Secure by design (PAS 24) and facilities to incorporate automation & access control systems are suitable for most projects and are essential within a school environment. In addition we offer high insulated French patio doors, folding sliding doors & multiple sliding doors. QAS are happy to advise the most appropriate project solution.

Curtain Walling

The solution to facade glazing, curtain walling spanning single to multi storey buildings can be designed and installed to suit all aesthetic requirements including faceted and curved solutions. QAS offer curtain walling with a range of aesthetic cap designs along with Trame Horizontale & Trame Verticale accentuations. Structurally bonded installations where the external facade is flush is a design option along with concealed vents within the facade.

Shopfronts

From simple entrances and display windows through to large plate glass and stainless steel fittings, QAS provide a dedicated team to discuss available options and guidance on the visual impact of your shopfront, we understand this is your “shop window” and the correct aesthetic is key. Single & double glazed options, bespoke handles and a full range of powder coated colour options are available to choose from. Roller shutters and access control can also be incorporated.

Replacement Windows

QAS specialise in improving buildings through the replacement of existing glazing. We are happy to include the removal of existing installations within any quotation, we can allow for all materials to be removed from site and the recycling of aluminium and steel frames in line with our ISO14001 Environmental Accreditation. We hold a waste carrier’s licence and all our site team hold non-licensed asbestos removal certification. Upon survey we can ascertain if licensed asbestos removal is required along with any internal making good, both of which can be incorporated within our Quotation.

Rooflights

Manufactured from our suppliers dedicated rooflight system whether it be monopitched, dualpitched, curved, hipped or gable ended QAS can offer a bespoke project solution. Through comprehensive design and experienced installation teams we can help you achieve a bright and airy feel to any project. Rooflights can be designed to incorporate automatic opening vents, smoke vents and windows within vertical eaves details.

Repair & Maintenance

With a dedicated maintenance team QAS provide reactive repair and replacement parts for all kinds of aluminium doors and windows, a local call out charge starts from just £45, we carry stock of most common parts and repairs to aluminium windows and doors can usually be resolved within one call. We also offer a preventative maintenance service on both our own installations and that of others, which can be invaluable to schools and hospitals in maintaining the operation of high usage doors. Manufacture

Our two adjoining factories in Queniborough, North Leicestershire provide us with over 6000 sq feet of manufacturing facilities, along with CNC machinery and bespoke tooling. We are able to offer high quality fabrications in line with our ISO 9001 quality accreditation. We have 3 interchangeable production lines enabling us to respond efficiently to our custumers requirements.

Survey & Estimating

We would gratefully receive any glazing project enquiry in a format that suits you, whether you can supply comprehensive drawings and specifications or you just have an idea that needs exploring. QAS can visit a prospective project, survey and advise budget costs or provide a formal offer. We often work with local authorities and academy status schools in submitting replacement glazing bids and pre-emptive budgets. By surveying a project we can be forewarned and provide solutions for any potential issues arising and be best placed to provide a practical & accurate quotation. We are also happy to offer competitive quote analysis to highlight variation between offers and specifications.

Design & Installation

With both our installation and design teams being directly employed, QAS can provide flexible, attentive service throughout the design stage through to final installation. Our design team have many years of specialist industry experience and can assist and advise throughout the pre-construction period, we actively seek co-ordination between interfacing trades. Our installation teams being in house allows direct liaison from office to site, providing improved daily co-ordination and direct control of installation cost.

Principal Contractor

Whilst we complete many contracts as a sub contractor, our flexibility to act as principal contractor allows us to be employed directly upon replacement glazing projects. We have co-ordinated many projects as principal contractor for academy status schools, Catholic Schools and for local authorities, these projects have included asbestos removal, full scaffold access and can encompass other small works.

Health & safety

Health and Safety is of primary importance to us. Our health, safety and welfare procedures are implemented across all our sites and all members of the workforce are trained to the highest standards and have gained all the appropriate and necessary certifications and qualifications to work at their expected level. The safety of the site, workforce and the general public is of paramount importance to QAS
All our employees who attend site are CRB/DBS checked, our installation teams all have first aid training, team leaders have completed SSSTS courses and operatives have the relevant IPAF & PASMA certification.
